    To the editor: Many people limit their intake of red wine due to headaches that may occur after consuming even small amounts. Histamine may mediate this effect. We have found that the use of cimetidine before ingesting red wine aborts the unpleasant effect that may occur even with the best vintage. We wonder if others have had this experience.
