To the editor: Mungall and associates (1) presented data which quantitate both the time course of the digoxin-quinidine interaction, and the magnitude of change in digoxin renal clearance induced by quinidine. We (2) and others (3) agree with the conclusions by Mungall and associates that digoxin levels achieve near steady state 6 days after starting quinidine therapy and that digoxin renal clearance is reduced by quinidine. We do, however, have several questions about the interpretation of some of the results.
