Within the past 6 months the editors of this journal have unwittingly published two papers with content that had also been published in other scientific journals.

The first paper was a reworking of a paper already published in a more specialized journal, admittedly a journal unlikely to be seen by many of our readers. But this earlier version was, and is, likely to be seen by writers in that subject field who would digest its content and represent its import through editorials, review articles, textbooks, and other formats to wider audiences. The drug investigated in the reported study was one
