The footnote to Table 2, page 385, in the article by Rosenthal and Sullivan (1) was incorrectly written as "P indicates the statistical significance of the mean values of various groups of patients related to the mean control value of serum amyloid A as per Table 1." The authors wish this footnote to read "P indicates the statistical significance of the mean values of serum amyloid A of various groups of patients with distant metastases when compared with the mean serum amyloid A value of the corresponding group of patients without metastases."
