To the editor: With reference to the excellent review of growth rate patterns of solid tumors and their relation to responsiveness to therapy by Shackney, McCormack, and Cuchural (Ann Intern Med 89:107-121, 1978), we wish to point out the incorrect statement in both Table 2 and the accompanying text that refers to standard MOPP therapy as including methotrexate as part of the multiple drug regimen employed.

The cited references noted by the authors (1, 2) define standard MOPP therapy as containing mechlorethamine and not methotrexate as part of the combination chemotherapy employed.
