    To the editor: I read with interest the article, "Fatal Myocardial Infarction while Marathon Racing," by Green, Cohen, and Kurland in the June 1976 issue (Ann Intern Med 84:704-706). The article is a significant contribution to the increasing interest in exercise and its possible relation to coronary vascular disease.

    I have some questions, however, that may also have occurred to some other readers. The title begins, "Fatal Myocardial Infarction . . .," but in the article itself, at the end of the third paragraph under "Case Report," the authors state: "As a result of hypoxic brain damage, the patient remained
