    To the editor: We do not agree with Drs. Conger and Alfrey's reply (Ann Intern Med 84:224-225, 1976) to the proposed value of obtaining 99mTc-pyrophosphate (99mTcPP) scans in chronic uremic patients to demonstrate pulmonary calcifications. We have seen two patients who showed diffuse pulmonary parenchymal accumulation of 99mTcPP with normal chest roentgenographs. There were no predisposing causes for pulmonary calcifications except uremia. Thus our observations support those of Drs. Moinuddin, Rockett, and Weber (Ann Intern Med 84:224, 1976) that 99mTcP scanning may be of value in finding diffuse pulmonary calcification in uremic patients with normal chest radiographs.
