What is Medical Ethics?
Abstract
Medical ethics does not have its own unique methods and principles. Rather, medical ethics is the enterprise of understanding the specialized facts and relationships of the medical world, to apply more precisely the familiar moral rules of everyday life. Some general implications of this view for practitioners and medical ethicists are spelled out.
