    Abstract

A case of serologically documented influenza A infection associated with myoglobinuria is described. These complications were transient and likely due to infection, rather than an underlying genetic abnormality. Patients with an influenza-like illness should be observed for signs and symptoms of rhabdomyolysis and myoglobinuria during the course of their illness, since these complications can lead to serious clinical disease.
