In the preceding editorial Dr. Marshall Fulton, Chairman of the Committee on Publications through most of Dr. Elkinton's editorship, has sketched many of his attributes and how they have influenced the content and style of the ANNALS through the past decade. From my view of Dr. Elkinton's editorship as his associate through all of his service, I venture to judge that he considered reliability of content to be among the leading desiderata for growth of the journal's reputation.
