    To the editor: The high prevalence of malaria in servicemen returning from Southeast Asia has been reported. In a series of 16 consecutive cases of malaria hospitalized at the 1st USAF Hospital, Selfridge AFB, Michigan, 7 of these also had subclinical intestinal parasitic infestations. All the patients in our series were men with a mean age of 21. They had returned from Southeast Asia within 1 month of the onset of clinical illness and were admitted to our hospital after microscopic confirmation of a malarial infection.
