    Since the recent adverse publicity concerning ovulation suppressor contraception, there is reason to believe that there has been a major epidemic of unwanted pregnancies and, for many couples, an increase in requests for vasectomy as the most acceptable contraceptive option. A review of the evidence concerning possible psychological upset after vasectomy may therefore be timely. There have been several reports of psychiatric problems after and apparently related to vasectomy (1).
