    Abstract

A 54-year-old woman developed significant hemolytic anemia after surgery and irradiation for an ovarian carcinoma. A hemolytic factor appeared transiently in her serum which, when incubated with autologous and normal erythrocytes, caused in vitro hemolysis. Further characteristics of this factor are unknown.
