At the Fiftieth Annual Session of the American College of Physicians, to be held in Chicago this April, one of the main subjects to be discussed will be that of the role of the computer in medicine. At the request of the College, Dr. John Mayne prepared a primer on computers for that program. This primer is published below as a special article in the ANNALS in order that as many members of the College and readers may prepare themselves ahead of time for this interesting educational venture.
