Under what circumstances and for what reasons should a doctor deliberately interrupt a pregnancy and thus arrest the beginning of a new human life? This has always been a serious question for the medical profession and for society. Society through its laws has strictly prescribed the indications for abortion, and churches of the Western world have taken definite stands on the issue.
