Excerpt

Dr. Robert A. Cohen: Until the happy day when someone comes up with a truly integrated theory, our Institute has followed the pattern of presenting alternately studies of psychosocial and biological aspects of behavior. In this Conference it is the turn for one of the latter. Dr. Irwin J. Kopin, Chief of the Section on Medicine, Laboratory of Clinical Science, National Institute of Mental Health, will report on some of his work relating to the sympathetic nervous system. Dr. Kopin has been interested in the synthesis, storage, release, metabolism, and mode of action of the biogenic amines and has studied
