    Air transportation of patients has become commonplace. In quickly transporting the sick and wounded from distant areas of military operations, such as Korea, to well-equipped and well-staffed medical facilities which provide thorough, definitive treatment, the airplane is of the greatest value and has been acclaimed by many as one of the really great advances in military medicine.
