Redundant Data in the Meta-analysis on Helicobacter pylori Eradication

    IN RESPONSE:

    Drs. Ford and Moayyedi write that we counted the same trial twice in our recently published meta-analysis. Reports of the “2” pertinent trials (1, 2) were not written by the same authors. The 2 reports showed that the work had been carried out in the Shandong province of China in the 1990s and used the most common worldwide eradication treatment at that time (1 week of omeprazole, clarithromycin, and amoxicillin).
