    We read with great interest Levi and colleagues' article on quantitative immunochemical fecal occult blood testing (FOBT) for diagnosing colorectal neoplasia (1), and we congratulate the authors on a nice piece of work. They have introduced a unique concept of offering an option with different positivity thresholds for performing quantitative immunochemical FOBTs.

    In the introduction of their article, the authors mentioned that no English-language study has systematically compared colonoscopy with the fecal immunochemical method for diagnosing colorectal neoplasia. …
