    Has Opportunity's Door been opened a crack by this article (1) and its accompanying editorial (2)? The medical journals have been rife with articles on the death of internal medicine, or the salvaging of it. But no one seems to link its demise to the lack of procedural skills, and attendant income, for general internists. Nor do these 2 articles go that far.
