To the editors: Data from the article by Murphy and colleagues (1) paint a depressing picture. Lest readers be left with the impression that cardiac resuscitation of elderly patients in the prehospital setting is futile (only 2 of the 244 patients in their study survived), we would like to share our experience in King County, Washington.
