An editorial (1) in The Lancet reports that an article in the International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology (2) proposes a new taxonomic name, Helicobacter pylori, for the organism that has been known as Campylobacter pylori. The publication in this taxonomic journal establishes the new name as the correct name.
