    To the editor: A number of problems in the lead article in the May issue by Dr. Graham and associates (1) make it difficult for us to agree with the authors' interpretations as well as to glean information useful in the clinical setting.

    The authors do not state how the study population of 172 patients was selected. Selection biases and proper extrapolation to patients at large are therefore unclear. Did the trial and placebo groups differ significantly in number of biopsies per patient?
