    To the editor: The recent article by Dunn (1) has produced mixed emotions in this reader. At first, I was merely astounded; rereading and consideration of the facts and conclusions produced confusion and uneasiness followed by my current feelings of mild displeasure.

    I have rendered care to some 700 thyrotoxic persons in 19 years of the practice of endocrinology and nuclear medicine, and although there have been some philosophical changes in the primary management of thyrotoxicosis over this period, therapy selection is certainly no problem for me in 1984.
