    To the editor: Kaposi's sarcoma, squamous cell carcinoma of the buccal mucosa, and lymphoid malignancies with or without opportunistic infections have been described in homosexual men with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (1-4). We report a previously undescribed association between adenosquamous carcinoma of the lung and the syndrome in a young homosexual man, and suggest that other malignancies will be seen in association with this syndrome.

    In December 1982, a 35-year-old white homosexual man developed fever, night sweats, and a nonproductive cough. In April 1983, he developed pain in his left shoulder. A roentgenogram of the shoulder showed lytic changes in
