Figure 2. Kaplan–Meier survival estimates by exercise and performance-based physical function (PPF) levels. Persons who exercised 3 or more times per week had a higher probability of being dementia-free than those who exercised fewer than 3 times per week if their PPF score was less than 13. This relative risk reduction of dementia by exercise was greater among persons with lower PPF scores than among those with higher PPF scores.
