Notice: Overlapping Publication
15 April 1998 | Volume 128 Issue 8 | Page 698
The Viewpoint article by Drs. Asch and Hershey published in The Lancet [1] overlaps the major point of a letter to the editor previously published in Annals [2] in which the authors present a critique of the article by Glassman and colleagues [3]. The Viewpoint article does not refer to either the letter [2] or the response of Glassman and colleagues to that letter [4].

Send three copies of the letter, an authors' form signed by all authors, and a cover letter describing any conflicts of interest related to the contents of the letter.

Published letters are edited and may be shortened; tables and figures are included only selectively. Authors will be notified that the letter has been received.
