LETTER
Anthracycline-Induced Cardiotoxicity
Herman O. Klein, MD
15 May 1997 | Volume 126 Issue 10 | Page 827
TO THE EDITOR:
Missing from Shan and colleagues' interesting review of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity [1] is any reference to the potential use of L-carnitine to prevent adriamycin cardiotoxicity. Can the authors express their opinion? The beneficial effects of L-carnitine were reported by Anselmi and colleagues at the 31st Annual Meeting of the European Association of Pediatric Cardiologists.
