Correction: Effect of Neuroimaging Studies on Acute Ischemic Stroke
Stephen M. Salerno, MD
1 September 1996 | Volume 125 Issue 5 | Page 428
IN RESPONSE:
Our article on neuroimaging studies and acute ischemic stroke contained an error. The initial stroke classification should have been 37.9% for small-vessel, 47.5% for unknown, 7.8% for large-vessel, and 6.8% for cardioembolic. The percentages published in the article were the final stroke classification after completion of all neuroimaging studies and ancillary tests instead of the intended initial stroke classification. This clarification does not affect our remaining results or our conclusions.
