Table 5 of a recent review of antioxidant vitamins and cardiovascular disease [1] contained incorrect numbers of events occurring in one of the reviewed studies [2]. The correct numbers are as follows: for total mortality, 1069 events in patients in the treatment group and 1058 events in patients in the control group; for death from cerebrovascular disease, 267 events in patients in the treatment group and 256 events in patients in the control group; for death from cancer, 407 events in patients in the treatment group and 385 events in patients in the control group. These changes in values do not affect the relative risk reduction for these events.
