IN RESPONSE:
Dr. von Reyn proposes an interesting precedent. We had not initially included the ACTG protocol number for this study to avoid ACTG jargon or vernacular. However, Dr. von Reyn is correct in that presentations and discussions of ACTG studies frequently refer to these studies by their ACTG protocol number. Dr. von Reyn has also correctly cited our study [1] as ACTG 155.
