A comprehensive, heavily illustrated (mammograms, diagrams, photographs of equipment) text on history taking, clinical examination, mammography, ultrasonography, ductography, aspiration cytology, needle-gun biopsy, and other imaging methods. The closing three chapters consider in detail relations with the patient, from her initial visit through the workup to the results. Twenty-one appendixes cover guidelines for referrals, formats for reports, patient directions and instructions, information on relevant drug effects, and other practical details. The audience is primarily imaging specialists, but internists and pathologists will find some of the content relevant to their interests.
