R Davison. 271 pages. St. Louis: Mosby-Year Book; 1995. $34.95. ISBN 0-8016-7983-4. Order phone 800-325-4177 ext. 588.

An atlas of electrocardiographic tracings with texts about their interpretation and implications. The tracings are grouped into six sections that reflect clinical presentations likely to call for electrocardiography: chest pain, syncope, palpitations, shortness of breath, noncardiac symptoms, and the patient with an electronic pacemaker. The last part of the book includes 12 case presentations on particular problems, such as cocaine-induced myocardial ischemia, left bundle-branch block, and asystole. The texts and tracings are arranged so that the atlas can be used as a self-testing source.
