Skin, hair, and nail manifestations of diseases of importance in the practice of internal medicine. Most are presented not by type of presentation or lesion but by the disease groups they reflect: rheumatologic, hematologic, oncologic, endocrinologic, and metabolic diseases; reaction patterns; infections. Hence, this text will be useful primarily to clinicians who know the patient's central disease and wish to know more about how it presents in the cutaneous system. Most of the illustrations are gray-scale photographs, but the main text is preceded by eight multifigure plates.
