The editors of this multiauthor text are professors of pharmacology at West Virginia School of Medicine. Included in the first section, "General Principles of Pharmacology," is a chapter titled "Ethics in Pharmacology." The rest of the book is organized according to drug class (that is, drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the central nervous system, and more). One chapter discusses compounds that (allegedly) remove dental plaque. Colored headings may facilitate access to desired sections and important or summary points are often italicized. A useful, relatively inexpensive reference book primarily intended for medical student teaching but likely to be of use to more advanced clinicians as well.
