Richard F. Thompson. 120 pages. Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Shoreland Medical Marketing; 1994. $14.95.
Most of the information is from the 1993 edition of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Health Information for International Travel and the 1991 Report on the Committee of Infectious Diseases, provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and supplemented from product brochures. The reader is cautioned to check for even more current information for which CDC and manufacturers' addresses and phone numbers are provided. Contains fewer (by about half) pages than the American College of Physicians (ACP) Guide for Adult Immunization and does not include as much (for example, malaria prophylaxis is omitted) or discuss "Unresolved Issues" as does the ACP book. One nice feature: Registering for your copy by mail will result in a mailing of significant changes in the guidelines directly to you.
