IN RESPONSE:

The SPRINT study recruited patients between August 1981 and July 1983, before the "thrombolytic era."

The incidence of and the mortality rate associated with primary ventricular fibrillation do not appear to change after thrombolysis [1]. We are not aware of studies examining the effects of thrombolysis on primary ventricular tachycardia.
