This annotated bibliography of reference works or "secondary sources" in the history of medicine was prepared to assist people interested in reading or writing about medical history. The list includes comprehensive bibliographies of primary sources (original printed works and manuscripts), secondary sources (historical or derivative works), general histories of medicine, and collected biographies of physicians and medical scientists.
